Postscript integration

This guide outlines connecting your Postscript account to Rep and enabling the "Subscribe & Get a Discount" power-up feature available through the Rep x Postscript integration.

Connect your Postscript account to Rep

  1. Log into the Rep console at the following link: https://app.hellorep.ai/home
  2. In the left-hand menu, navigate to Settings > Integrations.

  3. On the Integrations page, select the Marketing tab at the top, then locate the Postscript card and click Connect.

  4. The Connect to Postscript pop-up modal will ask for your Security API Key (private key). Refer to the next section of this article for directions on creating this key. Once you've obtained and entered the key, click Connect.

Create your Postscript Security API Key (private key)

To create the security API key in Postscript:

  1. Log into your Postscript account at the following link: https://app.postscript.io/
  2. Open the Settings menu, then select API.

  3. Click Create Security Key Pair on the right.

  4. Copy the key under the Private Key column. This is the private key that you will paste into the Connect to Postscript pop-up modal in the Rep console.

Enable the "Subscribe & Get a Discount" power-up

Once you've connected your Postscript account to Rep, you'll see an option to add the Subscribe & Get a Discount power-up.

The Subscribe & Get a Discount power-up allows you to offer a discount through the Rep widget, obtain the shopper's contact information, and automatically connect the shopper's contact information to one of your email or SMS lists in Postscript.

To add the Subscribe & Get a Discount power-up:

  1. Click Add Power-Up next to Subscribe & Get a Discount to open the Subscribe & Get a Discount pop-up modal.

  2. Under Customer Details to Collect, choose whether you'd like Rep to collect the shopper's email, phone, and/or name. You can mark each detail as Required, Optional, or Off.

  3. Under Subscribe to an Email/SMS List, click anywhere on the field to select the list from Postscript. The shopper's contact details will be connected to the selected Postscript list.

  4. Under Discount, click + Select Discount to select a static discount code from your Shopify store. Selecting a discount is optional.

  5. Finally, click Add Power-Up to save and enable the power-up.

 

Once you've added the Subscribe & Get a Discount power-up, a Subscribe & Get a Discount chip (suggestion button) will appear in the Rep widget when the shopper opens the widget or when Rep proactively approaches the shopper. When the shopper clicks the chip, Rep will trigger the Subscribe & Get a Discount flow, collecting the shopper's details and subscribing them according to your configured settings.

Rep will also trigger the Subscribe & Get a Discount flow if the shopper inquires about discounts or subscribing to your newsletter via the chat.
