You can create your Rep AI account and log in with your Google account. Rep AI takes your email address and name from Google. You don't type them in, and you don't need to create a password. You go straight to the questions about your store.
This works with any Google account that has a verified email address. That includes personal Gmail and Google Workspace accounts.
Sign up with Google — step by step
Go to the Rep AI sign-up page. You can start from the Rep AI website or from the Rep AI app in the Shopify App Store.
Under Let's start with your email, click Continue with Google.
Choose your Google account, and confirm if Google asks you to.
You return to Rep AI and see Signing you in with Google… for a moment.
Answer the short questions about your company and your store.
Continue to the next setup step, such as connecting your Shopify store.
Good to know:
No email, name or password screens. Rep AI uses the email address and name on your Google account. If your Google account has no first name or no last name, Rep AI asks only for the part that is missing.
Coming from the Shopify App Store? Rep AI already knows your store, so you are not asked for your store address or platform.
Started signing up before and didn't finish? Click Continue with Google with the same email address. You pick up where you stopped, and your earlier answers are kept.
Rep AI takes only your email address, first name and last name from Google. It does not take your photo or your contacts.
Log in with Google
Go to the Rep AI login page.
Click Sign in with Google.
Choose your Google account.
If you already have a Rep AI account with the same email address, Google signs you in to that account. This is true even if you first signed up with an email and password. Both ways of logging in keep working.
If there is no Rep AI account for that Google email yet, you see Let's create your account. Then:
Click Create my account to go straight into sign-up. You don't need to choose your Google account again.
Click Use a different account to go back to the login page. Nothing is created.
Passwords and Google accounts
An account created with Google has no password. Log in with Sign in with Google.
Want a password as well? On the login page, click Forgot password and follow the email to set one. After that, you can log in either with Google or with your email and password.
For password rules and lockout protection, see "Keeping Your Console Account Secure: Password Requirements and Login Protection".
Two-step verification
When you log in with Google, you don't see Rep AI's email verification code. Your Google account's own security protects your login. To keep your account safe, turn on two-step verification in your Google account.
To learn more, see "Keep Your Account Secure with Two-Step Verification".
Why this matters
Get started faster. You skip typing in your email, name and password.
One less password to remember. You log in with the Google account you already use every day.
The same account either way. If you already have an account with that email, Google signs you in to it. You don't get a second account.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | What to do |
|---|---|
| "Google hasn't verified this email address yet." | Verify the email address in your Google account settings, then try again. You can also sign up with your email address instead. |
| "We couldn't connect to Google. Please try again." | Click Continue with Google again. If it keeps happening, refresh the page or try a different browser. |
| "Please continue with Google again to finish creating your account." | You may have switched to another browser or device during sign-up. Click Continue with Google again to finish. |
| "Invalid combination of email and password." | Your account may have been created with Google and have no password. Click Sign in with Google, or use Forgot password to set one. |
| I closed the Google window by mistake. | You return to the sign-up page. Click Continue with Google again. |
| "You have reached the limit of signups. Please try again later." | Too many accounts were started from your network today. Try again tomorrow, or contact support. |
