Why Customize Email Notifications?
For account owners: Keep all billing alerts enabled to stay on top of plan usage and payments.
For support team members: Enable AI Order Changes to monitor when your AI assistant handles refunds or cancellations.
For focused work: Disable notifications that aren't relevant to your role to reduce inbox clutter.
Tip: Your email notification preferences are personal to you - other team members can set their own preferences based on their roles and responsibilities.
Rep Weekly Digest
The Rep weekly digest provides valuable insights about your account's performance:
Toggle the switch to ON to receive weekly performance updates via email
Toggle the switch to OFF to stop receiving the weekly digest emails
This digest includes conversation metrics, engagement trends, and key highlights from your AI assistant's performance each week.
Browser Notifications for Customer Interactions
Control when you receive real-time browser notifications in the Rep AI Console about customer conversations. This helps you stay informed about customers who need immediate assistance:
Click on the dropdown menu under "Notification Settings"
Choose from the following options:
None: No browser notifications are sent
Human Handoff: Receive notifications only when customers specifically request to speak with a human agent
AI Fallback: Receive notifications only when your AI assistant cannot answer a customer's question
Both: Receive notifications for both human requests and AI fallbacks
Note: Human Handoff notifications are enabled by default to ensure you never miss critical customer requests.
Understanding Notification Types
Human Handoff Notifications
These alerts appear when a customer:
Clicks a "Contact Support" or "Speak to Human" button
Types messages like "I need to talk to someone" or "Can I speak to a real person?"
Requests human assistance in their conversation
AI Fallback Notifications
These alerts appear when your AI assistant:
Cannot understand or interpret a customer's question
Doesn't have enough information to provide a helpful answer
Encounters a topic outside its current knowledge or training
Email vs. Browser Notifications
Email notifications keep you informed about account events and AI actions even when you're not actively using the console. These are best for important updates that don't require immediate action.
Browser notifications alert you in real-time while you're working in the Rep AI Console. These are best for time-sensitive customer interactions that may need your immediate attention.
Tips for Managing Notifications Effectively
Customize by role: Account owners should enable billing alerts, while support team members might focus on AI Order Changes
Start with defaults: All notifications are enabled initially - adjust based on what you actually need after a few days
Check regularly: Even with notifications off, check your conversations and account dashboard regularly to stay connected
Reduce notification fatigue: If your inbox feels overwhelming, review your email preferences and disable less critical notifications
Coordinate with your team: Ensure at least one team member receives critical notifications like billing alerts and order changes
