Introduction
Rep AI allows one account per Shopify store. This means each Shopify domain (e.g., your-store.myshopify.com) can only be connected to a single Rep AI account. This policy protects your store's data, prevents configuration conflicts, and ensures your AI assistant works smoothly.
If you see a message saying your domain is already registered when trying to sign up, it means a Rep AI account already exists for your store.
Why One Account Per Store?
Having a single account per Shopify domain keeps things clean and reliable. Multiple accounts connected to the same store can cause problems like overlapping chat widgets on your storefront, conflicting AI training and settings, and billing or plan discrepancies that are difficult to resolve.
By limiting signup to one account per domain, Rep AI ensures your AI assistant is properly configured and your storefront experience is consistent for your customers.
What to Do If Your Domain Is Already Registered
If you're trying to sign up but see that your store's domain is already in use, here are the most common scenarios and how to resolve them.
You Previously Had a Rep AI Account
If you or someone on your team previously signed up, your account may still exist even if it was deactivated. To regain access:
Try logging in at app.hellorep.ai using the email originally used to sign up.
If you've forgotten your password, use the Forgot Password option on the login page.
If the original email is no longer accessible, contact Rep AI support and they'll help you recover your account.
Someone Else on Your Team Signed Up
Another team member may have already created a Rep AI account for your store. Check with your colleagues to see who may have set it up, and ask them to invite you as a team member through the Account section in the Rep AI Console. This way, multiple people on your team can access the same account with their own login credentials.
You Deleted Your Account and Want to Start Fresh
If you previously deleted your Rep AI account and want to return, contact Rep AI support. They can help you set up a new account for your store so you can get started again.
