The Promotions feature empowers you to train the AI to recognize and adapt to ongoing campaigns and promotions.
Note: While the AI can typically gather information about offers promoted in a text-based format on your website, it cannot gather this information from image-based banners or other non-text elements. Adding your promotions to the Promotions page in the Rep console makes the exact details clear and readily accessible for the AI to leverage in conversations with your customers.
Navigate to Promotions
To navigate to the Promotions page:
- Log into the Rep console at the following link: https://app.hellorep.ai/home
- In the left-hand menu, navigate to AI Training > Knowledge Base.
- Select the Promotions tab on the left.
Add a promotion
To add a promotion, click Create New on the right.
The Add Promotion screen contains the sections and fields listed below. After filling out all of the relevant fields, click Save in the lower right corner.
Discount
Discount Code
Select a static discount code from your Shopify store from the dropdown. You can also search for the code by name in the field's search bar.
Note: Currently, the Promotions feature requires you to select a discount code.
Promotion Internal Name
The name you provide in this field is for internal purposes only, and will not be leveraged by the AI in conversations with customers. This name will appear in the list under Knowledge Base > Promotions.
Promotion Description
In this field, explain what the promotion is about and who the audience is. This allows the AI to leverage the promotion appropriately in conversations with customers.
Active Dates
Start Date & Time
Enter the start date and time of the promotion so the AI knows when to start leveraging the promotion information.
Set End Date
Setting an end date and time is an optional field. This field lets the AI know when the promotion is no longer applicable.
To use this field, click the checkbox next to Set End Date, then enter the end date and time.
Customer Type
In the Customer Type dropdown, specify whether the promotion should apply to:
- New customers only
- Returning customers only
- or All customers
Only relevant to a specific landing page or campaign
The "Only relevant to a specific landing page or campaign" toggle is an optional field. This field allows you to segment the promotion for a specific audience by using UTM parameters or identifying the landing page they visited. Include a unique keyword from the campaign's landing page URL to ensure precise targeting.
Organize promotions
Several organizational tools are available on the Promotions screen to help you manage promotions.
Search Bar
In the Search Bar, you can search for keywords for any of the following fields:
- Internal Name
- Description
- Discount Code
- Landing Page Keyword
Status Filter Tabs
Below the Search Bar, you can click on the Status Filter Tabs to filter for:
- Active promotions (no end date or future end date)
- Expired promotions (expired end date)
- or All promotions
Reorder via Drag-and-Drop
You can change the order of the promotions list. Click and hold the Drag Handle (â ¿) next to the promotion you'd like to move, then drag-and-drop it into the desired order.
Delete a promotion
Click the Trash Bin icon next to the promotion you'd like to delete.
