If Rep provides inappropriate responses regarding products being out of stock, follow the steps in this guide to resolve the issue.
Fix Shopify settings
For products to appear in stock, one of these two conditions must be met in Shopify:
- The product has available quantity, OR
- "Continue selling when out of stock" is enabled
To check and fix these settings:
- Log into your Shopify Admin account and navigate to Products.
- Select the affected product.
- In the Inventory section:
- Make sure Track Quantity is checked
- Either ensure the product has stock quantity, OR enable Continue selling when out of stock
Note: You can only see the "Continue selling when out of stock" option if "Track Quantity" is enabled.
If you need to update multiple products, use Shopify's bulk editing feature.
Sync with Rep
After updating your Shopify settings:
- Log into the Rep console at the following link: https://app.hellorep.ai/home
- In the left-hand menu, navigate to AI Training > Catalog.
- Click Sync Now in the upper right corner and wait for the sync to complete.
- Once syncing is finished, Rep will show the correct stock status for your products.
