Sales Skills are AI-driven proactive features that help convert hesitant shoppers before they leave your site. These intelligent capabilities identify disengaged customers through behavioral signals and automatically reach out with personalized shopping assistance to guide them toward a purchase.
Each Sales Skill targets a specific customer scenario, offering tailored recommendations and engagement strategies to boost conversions, increase cart adds, and enhance overall order value.
How Sales Skills Work
Sales Skills operate by:
Detecting signs of customer disengagement or hesitation in real-time
Initiating contextually relevant product suggestions at the right moment
Helping customers re-engage with your store through personalized messages
Providing timely assistance to guide shoppers toward completing their purchase
Who Can Access Sales Skills?
Sales Skills are available to merchants on:
Sales Assistant plans
Concierge plans
Note: If you're on a Support Agent plan, you'll need to upgrade to access Sales Skills. The Sales Assistant plan includes all Sales Skills features, while the Concierge plan includes both Sales and Support Skills.

Product Finder: Helps shoppers find the right item by searching your catalog and asking follow-up questions to narrow down options.
Virtual Try-On: Lets shoppers upload a photo and see how clothing, accessories, or footwear looks on them — boosting purchase confidence and reducing returns.
Convert a Disengaged Returning Customer on the Homepage: Re-engages past shoppers by showcasing personalized items or helping with their post-purchase needs.
Convert a Disengaged Shopper After Viewing Cart: Nudges cart abandoners to complete their purchase or discover complementary products.
Convert a Disengaged Shopper on a Collection Page: Recommends trending or relevant products within the collection to boost engagement.
Convert a Disengaged Shopper on a Product Page: Encourages shoppers to add products to their cart or explore similar options.
Convert a Disengaged Shopper on the Homepage (New Visitor): Welcomes new visitors with tailored product recommendations to spark interest.
Convert a Disengaged Shopper on the Homepage (Returning Visitor): Reignites returning shoppers' interest with personalized messages.

Managing Your Sales Skills
Each Sales Skill can be individually controlled through:
Toggle Switches: Easily enable or disable each skill with a simple toggle.
Settings Button: Configure detailed options for each skill by clicking the Settings button, including special instructions for specific engagement rules.
Viewing Sales Skills Performance
The Sales Skills Performance page gives you a clear view of how each skill is contributing to your store's conversion goals. To access it:
Navigate to AI Training > Sales Skills in your Rep AI Console
Click "Sales skills performance" or "View analytics" at the top of the page
What the Performance Table Shows
The performance table lists every Sales Skill along with key metrics:
Approaches — How many times the skill proactively reached out to a shopper
Engagement Rate — The percentage of approached shoppers who interacted with the skill
Conversations — Total conversations generated by the skill
Revenue Impact — Sales attributed to conversations initiated by the skill
All Sales Skills in One View
The performance table includes all your Sales Skills — both proactive approach skills and shopper-initiated skills:
Proactive skills (e.g., "Convert a Disengaged Shopper on a Product Page," "Upsell After Add-to-Cart") actively reach out to shoppers based on behavioral triggers. Their Approaches count reflects how many times the AI initiated contact.
Shopper-initiated skills — Product Finder and Virtual Try-On — also appear in the table. Because these skills activate only when a shopper starts the interaction (not through proactive outreach), they will show 0 approaches and 100% engagement rate. This is expected and simply reflects their on-demand nature.
Tips for Using Performance Data
Compare engagement rates across proactive skills to see which scenarios resonate most with your shoppers
If a proactive skill has many approaches but low engagement, try adjusting its messaging or trigger timing in Settings
Use date range filters to track performance over specific periods
Review the conversations linked to each skill to understand the quality of interactions

Navigate to the Sales Skills section in your Rep AI dashboard
Review the available skills and their descriptions
Click Settings to customize each skill's behavior and messaging
Monitor performance regularly and adjust as needed

You may be on a Support Agent plan. Upgrade to a Sales Assistant or Concierge plan to access these features.
Why isn't a specific Sales Skill working?
