Understand order tagging in Rep
Rep automatically tracks two different types of order information:
Rep Session ID: Added to all orders from the moment you integrate your store with Rep, regardless of shopper interaction with the AI assistant.
"Assisted by Rep" Note: Only added to orders when the shopper has actively interacted with the Rep widget (through chat replies, clicking suggestions, or receiving AI-generated recommendations) before completing their purchase.
Disable the Assisted by Rep note
To remove the Assisted by Rep note from your Shopify orders:
- Log into your Rep console using the following link: https://app.hellorep.ai/home
- In the left-hand menu, navigate to Settings > Integrations.
- On the Integrations page, select the Catalog tab and locate the Shopify card. Then, click See Details.
- Switch the toggle for Tag orders as assisted by Rep to OFF, then click Save.
Important notes:
- Disabling this setting only affects future orders - existing orders will retain their current tagging.
- Rep Session IDs will continue to be added to orders for analytics purposes.
- This change does not affect Rep AI's functionality or performance tracking.
- You can re-enable this feature at any time by following the same steps and toggling the setting back on.
