If you sell internationally with Shopify Markets, Rep AI speaks to each shopper in the terms of their own market. A shopper browsing from the UK hears your UK price in GBP. A shopper in Germany hears your EU price in EUR. And a product you don't sell in a given region is never offered to shoppers there.
Rep AI reads your Markets setup directly from Shopify, so the pricing and catalog decisions you already made in your Shopify admin are the ones your AI works from.
What Rep AI does for international shoppers
Quotes your actual regional price. When a shopper opens chat, Rep AI knows which market they're in and uses the price you set for that market — in that market's currency. This covers both kinds of Shopify market: markets where you set fixed prices per region, and markets where Shopify converts prices automatically.
Respects your per-market catalogs. If a product isn't in a market's catalog, Rep AI treats it as though it doesn't exist for shoppers in that market. It won't name it, describe it, recommend it, or include it in a comparison — even if that product has a price set for the region.
Never invents a price. If a product is sold in a market but doesn't have a price set for it yet, Rep AI still recommends and discusses the product and simply leaves the price out. It never estimates, converts, or borrows a price from another market.
Falls back sensibly. A shopper visiting from a country your store has no market for hears your primary market's price in its own currency.
Honors your price visibility settings. If you've chosen to hide prices in the chat experience, that setting still applies everywhere.
Getting set up
Rep AI applies per-market pricing and per-market catalogs automatically for Shopify stores with Markets enabled. There's no toggle to flip and no plan requirement.
To see your Markets information inside the Console, grant Rep AI permission to read your Markets configuration:
Go to Settings → Integrations in your Rep AI Console.
Find the Shopify Markets card.
Select Approve permission. You'll be sent to Shopify to approve the read-markets permission, then returned to the Console.
Once approved, the card shows each of your active markets with its currency, marks your primary market, and confirms that Rep AI is using per-market pricing and per-market catalogs for your store. It also shows when your catalog last synced.
Checking a product's per-market pricing and availability
Every product page in your catalog has a Shopify Markets tab showing exactly what Rep AI knows about that product in each of your markets.
Go to Catalog → Products and open any product.
Select the Shopify Markets tab.
You'll see a table with one row per variant and one column per market. Each cell tells you one of four things:
A price — the variant's price for that market, with your compare-at price shown alongside when there is one.
No per-market price — the variant is sold in that market, but you haven't set a price for it yet. Rep AI will recommend the product and omit the price.
Not in this market's catalog — you've excluded the variant from that market. Rep AI won't offer it to shoppers there.
Availability unverified — Rep AI couldn't confirm catalog membership for that market on the last check.
Markets that cover many countries at once — an "International" market, for example — show a single base price with an information icon. Shopify converts that base price to each shopper's own currency at checkout, so no single price exists for the whole market.
Keeping everything current
Your per-market prices and catalogs refresh with your regular catalog sync. When you change Markets settings in Shopify — adding a market, repricing one, adding or removing a product from a market's catalog — the change flows into Rep AI on the next sync. You can also trigger a sync yourself from the Catalog page.
Troubleshooting
I don't see the Shopify Markets card or tab.
Two things need to be true: your store has more than one active market in Shopify, and you've granted the read-markets permission from the Integrations page. Single-market stores don't see these surfaces because there's nothing to break out by region.
Rep AI isn't showing a price for one of my markets.
That market doesn't have a price set for the product in Shopify. Open the product's Shopify Markets tab to confirm — a cell reading "No per-market price" points at the gap. Set the price in your Shopify price list for that market and run a catalog sync.
Rep AI is offering a product I don't sell in a region.
Check the product's Shopify Markets tab for that market's column. If the cell doesn't read "Not in this market's catalog," Rep AI hasn't picked up the exclusion yet — confirm the product is removed from that market's catalog in Shopify, then run a catalog sync.
A market column shows one price, but my shoppers pay in their own currency.
That's a multi-currency market. The number shown is your base price for the market; Shopify converts it per shopper. Hover the information icon on the column header for details.
The price a shopper sees in chat doesn't match my Shopify admin.
Compare the product's Shopify Markets tab against your Shopify price list for that market. The tab shows exactly what Rep AI ingested, which makes it quick to tell a sync gap from a pricing setup difference.
Good to know
Rep AI never performs its own currency conversion. Every price it quotes comes from your Shopify configuration.
Catalog exclusions always take priority over pricing. A product excluded from a market stays hidden from that market's shoppers regardless of what price data exists for it.
Per-market behavior applies to your storefront chat experience. Each Shopify store connects to its own Rep AI account, so stores you run separately are configured separately.
Stores that don't use Shopify Markets are unaffected — pricing and recommendations work exactly as they do today.
