This article explains how to enable back-in-stock notifications for product variants via the Klaviyo integration. By following the steps outlined below, you can ensure your shoppers are notified when items become available again—enhancing their shopping experience and increasing your sales.
Shopper's experience
Once the feature is enabled, any out-of-stock variant will appear greyed out in the Rep carousel along with a “Notify me” button.
When shoppers click this button, Rep will prompt them to provide the contact details you’ve selected in the configuration settings.

Configuration Part 1: Klaviyo settings
To use this feature, you must have an active Back-in-Stock flow in Klaviyo. Without it, Rep cannot add customers to your updates list, and no notifications will be sent.
To create a back-in-stock flow in Klaviyo:
- Log into your active Klaviyo account at the following link: https://www.klaviyo.com/login
- Navigate to Flows, then click Create Flow.
- Choose the Back in Stock flow from the list.
- Click Create Flow.
- The new flow will default to Manual. To send emails automatically, switch it to Live.

Sync Products with Shopify. Ensure that the products in your Klaviyo catalog at the following link are synced with Shopify: https://www.klaviyo.com/catalog/items.
Klaviyo and Rep must be connected to the same store.
Syncing should happen automatically, but you can manually sync by clicking the sync button.Note: If the products are not synced, Klaviyo will not detect when an item is back in stock, and the notification will not be dispatched.
Configuration Part 2: Rep settings
Ensure that the Klaviyo integration is connected for your Rep account. For more information, please visit the following Rep help center article: Klaviyo integration
Once Klaviyo is connected, follow these steps:
- Log into the Rep Console at the following link: https://app.hellorep.ai/home
- In the left-hand menu, navigate to Settings > Integrations.
- Select the Marketing tab, then click See Details in the Klaviyo card.
- On the Klaviyo settings page, to the right of "Notify me when back in stock", click Add Power-Up.

In the pop-up window, select which customer details you want to collect: email, phone, name, or a combination.
You must select at least email or phone to send notifications.
Ensure the selected contact method matches your Klaviyo flow configuration. If you collect emails in Rep, the Klaviyo flow must be configured for email. The same goes for phone numbers.
Mismatched configurations will result in customers being added to the list but not receiving notifications.
Finally, click Add Power-Up.
