By connecting Rep to your Meta accounts (Instagram and Facebook), Rep can instantly respond to customer-initiated inquiries sent via Direct Message (DM). Rep helps guide those customers to your store’s website—driving traffic and increasing sales. This guide explains how to set up the integration and how it works.
Set up the integration
- Log into the Rep console at the following link: https://app.hellorep.ai/home
- In the left-hand menu, navigate to Settings > Integrations.
- On the Integrations page, select the Social tab at the top, which will display the three available Meta integrations. Click Connect in the panel of the platform(s) you would like to connect.
- You will be directed to log into your Meta account. Follow any remaining prompts.
Understand how the integration works
Once you've set up the integration, Rep will answer any DMs customers send on the respective platform(s).
Rep will acknowledge the inquiry and provide the customer with a link. This link redirects the customer to your Shopify store's website and triggers the Rep widget to open automatically, continuing the conversation from the DM.
