In this guide, you'll learn how tagging your products helps your customers to find the right products and where to do that.
When a customer asks your assistant: "I am looking for something to moisturize my skin" or "I am looking for coffee from South America", your assistant will extract "moisturize my skin" and "coffee from South America" as the customer query. The products that are under these or similar tags will be then suggested.
When syncing your catalog from Shopify or Magento, tags will be imported. Not all tags should be exposed to customers, for example, if you have a tag "clearance", you might want to disallow browsing it through the assistant. To choose the tags that should be exposed, go to Catalog > Product groups and choose the tags your customer should be able to browse by checking the column Browsable.
Sometimes Shopify tags are not applicable to conversational browsing and manual tagging is required to create a better experience. You can easily add tags and organize your products on Rep.
Go to Catalog > Products and click the product you'd like to tag. Tags define product groups, so by creating a tag, you are creating a new product group.
