What are Filtering Questions?
The AI uses filtering questions to narrow down search results and help customers find the right products. By setting up guiding questions (filtering questions), you can help the AI collect important details from customers that will improve the recommendation process.
How to Set Up Filtering Questions
Follow these steps to create filtering questions:
-
Navigate to the Filtering Questions Page
In the Rep console, go to the left menu > Expert Zone > Filtering Questions section. -
Create a New Filtering Question
-
Here, you can give the question a name (for example, "Season") and write the question that you want the AI to ask, such as "What season are you shopping for?"
-
Add Answer Options
After creating the question, you can add possible answers. For example, if the question is about the shopping season, the answers might include "Winter," "Spring," "Summer," and "Fall."- You can add as many answer options as you need.
- You will also need to specify Included Product Groups or Excluded Product Groups based on the answers to refine the AI's recommendations.
- You can also add an image for the answers.
-
Advanced Settings
In the Advanced Settings, you can further customize the filtering question by enabling the following options:- Use for Segmentation: Enable this option if you want to save the answer as a custom property for segmentation in mailing lists.
- Order Answers Manually: Choose this option if you want to override the automatic order of the answer options.
- Text-Only: Enable this if you'd like the filter to show only text suggestion chips (without an image carousel).
-
Saving and Using the Filter
Once you've set up the filtering question, click Save to apply it. You can now apply it to your product finder to narrow down search results and help customers find the right products for them.
