Greetings generally stem from the Proactive Flows. There are different proactive flows for different customer situations. The default flow engaging/greeting customers when they are on:
- The home page (as a new visitor or returning visitor or returning customer)
- On a product page,
- On a collection page
- Upselling after customer adds to cart
- out-of-stock page
To change the greeting for your chatbot, please follow the steps below:
1. From within the Rep console, navigate to the sidebar and select Advanced >> Proactive Flows
2. Select the flow you would like to edit the greeting for from the list by clicking on it.
3. Once in the flow builder modal for your selected flow, find the component that is connected to the start point, and this should generally be the greeting that a customer will receive. Click on the component!
4. After clicking on the relevant component, you will see a sidebar open up with different details that can be configured related to the element. Click on the text box that contains the greeting to edit it.
5. After you have made your edits, in order to make sure that they become live and viewable by your customers, you must Publish your changes. By clicking on View Changes at the bottom of the Rep console.
6. After clicking View Changes, you will see the changes modal pop up and you will have to click Publish to publish your changes.
Once you hit Publish your changes will be live, and you can test them out to make sure everything is the way you desire!
