Understand how Rep's AI determines a product's availability for recommendation
By default, Rep AI follows these rules to determine whether products should be available for recommendation:
- Visible products: Any product that customers can browse on your website is automatically available for Rep's AI to recommend.
- Hidden products: If you have products configured in Shopify but set as hidden, Rep AI will not promote them.
- Product groups: Products are organized into Product Groups that can be individually controlled. For more information, please refer to the following Rep help center article: Understand Product Groups in Rep
Control which products Rep's AI can recommend
You have full control over which products Rep AI can suggest to customers. To manage product availability:
- Log into the Rep Console at the following link: https://app.hellorep.ai/home
- In the left-hand menu, navigate to AI Training > Catalog.
- Select the Products tab on the left. On the Products tab, you'll see two columns: Available and Add-to-Cart.

To prevent Rep AI from recommending specific products, toggle the Available switch OFF next to the relevant products.

To prevent Rep AI from having the ability to add specific products to the cart on the shopper's behalf, toggle the Add-to-Cart switch OFF for the relevant products.

Promote certain products
On the Products tab, you can mark certain products as Promoted to indicate to the AI to prioritize those products in its recommendations. Simply click the Star icon in the Promoted column next to the relevant products.
Bulk update products
You can Bulk Update multiple products at once. Simply check the checkboxes for the relevant products, then use the bulk action icons above the product list.
